Departments
The departments at Guntersville High School work together to support the academic success, well being, and overall development of our students. Each department plays an important role in creating a learning environment where students are encouraged to grow, achieve, and prepare for their future.
Our grade level departments include ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade, where students continue building the knowledge and skills needed for graduation and life beyond high school. In addition to core academic areas, Guntersville High School offers a variety of programs that provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and prepare for college and careers.
These departments include Career Technical Education, Physical Education, Fine Arts, and a variety of elective courses such as Health Education, Journalism, Driver’s Education, and Strength and Conditioning. Students also benefit from support services including Child Nutrition, Special Education, the Media Center, and Mental Health services.
Behind the scenes, our dedicated staff and support personnel work each day to ensure that Guntersville High School operates smoothly while providing guidance, encouragement, and support for every student.
Together, these departments work collaboratively to support the whole student academically, socially, and emotionally while helping every Guntersville High School student prepare for success after graduation.
